The stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas, but you won’t be able to see them as the roof is closed for a majority of the 81 home games. The most popular entrance to the park was once Houston’s Union Station, a train sits beyond left field’s exterior wall to honor this historic site. With the Astros coming off their first World Series in team history Minute Maid Park should be at near capacity for the 2018 season.

All three of my trips to the “Juice Box” were made with my Fordham roommate and esteemed Houstonian Zach; Mike joined us on the third. Zach was the “roommate to be named later” during my sophomore year at Fordham. There are times in life when you meet someone whose friendship changes your life. Meeting Zach and living with him for three years was just that. He challenged me to think about situations differently. In return I, along with our roommate Paul, turned Zach into a baseball fan by taking him to a number of Mets and Yankees games and teaching him the ways of SportsCenter.
